The web is full of all these abstract, inaccessible, and scary acronyms, it can be dizzying for people who are just getting into the industry such as project managers, content editors, or even designers. There's so much to learn about how CMSes work, but below that there are a set of foundational technologies, such as protocols, programming and markup languages, and even web browsers. Knowing what they are and, at a high level, how they work, can help some folks improve at their role in building websites.
In this session, we'll talk about the core layers of the web stack that support our CMSes, how they all come together to make the Drupal that we're familiar with. We'll discuss at a high level, accessible way so that the non-technical team members can get a better understanding. You'll see some flow charts to help illustrate the ideas.
